Creative Christmas

Since I was away from home this year, I wanted Christmas to be personal and something of me, so a lot of my gifts were homemade this year.  I had a great time doing it, and really enjoyed the gift giving so much more.  I couldn't wait for people to open what I gave.  I hope they enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed making them.
This I gave to my best friend Sheree.  She has been such a support to me over the years.  I love her to death.  I hope she enjoys it.  I had a great time painting it and putting it all together.

This is actually one I kept, but I gave one like it to my Sister Charlene.  She is a little more rustic in her tastes and she can store things in them as well as use them for decorations.  I thought they were really cute.

This went to a neighbor here in Firestone.  I wasn't sure if I would like these or not, but I think they turned out really cute.  And they are made or wooden blocks from two by four scraps.

Another one, also given to a neighbor!

I gave these to Jill back home.  My dad helped me with the wood and then I just had to paint and decorate.  I loved the way they turned out.  I hope she did too! I didn't get to see when I was home, and I was sad about that.  I hope she is doing well.

This went to my Brother Cole.  It is an old victorian print on the front of a block of wood.  A simple but cure craft and I knew it would be small enough for him to take home in his luggage.

I think this one went to Jamie, but not sure.  I made a bunch of these and people on both sides of the family got them.  They were really fun to make.

I gave one of these to a neighbor here, and kept the other for myself.  Again it is just old blocks of wood, painted and decorated.  I think it turned out way cute!

Another of the victorian prints.

This is of our tree here at home.  Never had a fake tree before, but since we weren't at home for most of the holiday I didn't want one that was a fire hazard.  I think it is a nice one in spite of it being fake.  I have a bunch more, and will post them later, but this is the beginning post of catching up.  I'll post later some more.  It was a really nice Christmas in spite of the upheaval!

You forgot to take a picture of all the cute ornaments you gave me. Thank you. I can't wait to use them next year.

You left off the most beautiful of all the gifts you created and that was the gift you gave to me...I am going to have to find my camera back at Quartzsite and pull off the pictures of those gorgeous trees you made for me - they are priceless. Thanks for the love!!! I will treasure them forever

Edi the stars were easy. Just get three different sized paper mache star boxes from a craft store. Paint them the color you want, and mod-podge a piece of paper you like on them, ink the edges, and tie a ribbon around them.

Susan, you are right I have a bunch more. I made a wicked for Lill, some ornaments for Alicyn, a turkey for Kecia and Mauri, the trees for you etc. However Makae took my camera and took some pictures and downloaded everything to her account. She erased the ones she didn't want. Which were all of mine.

Wow I am super impressed! You are so creative. Maybe I will have to try some of these out for next year. I really love the stacking trees! Rhone loved the online card and opening the one in the mail. Thanks for thinking of us!
