Ethan's second prom

Ethan went to two proms this year.  Once to the Mormon Prom and once to the Niwot High Prom.  Crystal asked him to take her, and he had a blast on this date.  They are only friend's and I think that made all the difference.  Crystal is Kristina's sister, who was Cade's old girlfriend.  Even though they broke up, Ethan and Crystal remained friends.  This is one of the few occasions I allowed Ethan to stay out late.  Crystal is a good girl and I wasn't worried about anything happening so he went to dinner, prom and then after prom with her.  I don't think he got home till 4 AM.

Easter at the Crittenden's

We made it home Thursday night for Easter.  On Friday morning, we decorated Easter Eggs.  Alicyn brought her kids up and we had a good time.  She also made Sugar cookies which was Cade's favorite.  He hadn't been home in over a year so he was really excited to be here and also to have her good sugar cookies.  Sure glad I gave her my recipe and she improved on it and makes them so I don't have too!

Sunday morning was Easter as usual, and we had a small hunt in the house for eggs and baskets.  We had all of my kids with us so it was nice.  We also had a short spiritual thought before so we could remember the real reason we celebrate the whole day.

After church all of the family came up and we had the egg hunt at Granny's and also dinner.  It is so nice to visit and spend time together, and Granny loves it that she gets to see all of her grandkids, great grandkids so excited.  Cole surprised her this year by coming home for Easter.  He doesn't usually do that.  She was so excited.  Us too!

Easter at the Willden's

The Willden's always have an annual Easter Egg hunt/party the day before Easter.  This year was no different.  I guess I should say the Nielson's.  This year it was at Susan's house.  Everyone came and it was a huge hit.  I think the best part besides just visiting with family and the enjoyment for the kids was that all of Grandpa Merritt's kids that are alive were there along with all of his grandchildren.  It was a really neat day for him, and he had a great time.  We got some great picture of the whole event.

Ethan's First Prom

In Colorado the stakes get together and sponsor a Mormon prom.  This year 4 couples went together to the prom from our ward.  Ethan asked Roxy  and they were really excited to go.  The evening didn't quite go as planned, but the two  of them are still friends so I guess it didn't go to bad.
